We designed the refurbishing of the neo-baroque villa built according to the plans of Tivadar
Kocsis in 1936. The building is listed as locally protected, as there are few villas from this
period that have survived in such good condition.
The building is intended to be used as a 4-unit apartment building in the future. The car
parking spaces for the apartments are located below ground level.
It is interesting to note that after the expiry of his ten-year mandate, in August 2000, the
prestigious villa was assigned to President Árpád Göncz when he retired. Árpád Göncz died
in the house on Vérhalom Square surrounded by his family on the 6 th of October 2015, at the
age of 94.
