We were commissioned to prepare the refurbishment plans for an existing office building in a
rapidly changing area of the 3 rd district. The refurbishment of a 3-storey building located at
the corner of Bojtár Street and Kunigunda Street presented many challenges. An important
aspect of the design was to ensure that the building would be able to serve different tenant
needs. With a simple floor plan, two or even four tenant spaces per level can be created.
The existing office building was subjected to a thorough diagnostic study. The diagnostics
revealed which parts of the building are in good condition and where the structure needs to
be strengthened.
Thanks to the simple massing and façade design of the office building, we succeeded in
creating a building free of fashion frills. The common spaces are organised around an atrium,
where we can provide the adequate amount of light through natural lighting. On the 3rd floor
a shared rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view of the Buda hills.
